Cat Cannon Games

There are three cat cannon games by the original author. These are Kitten Cannon (the original); Kitten Cannon 2 and Kitten Cannon 3. They are often called Kitty Cannon arcade games. However, the original kitten shooting game is over five years old and it is very popular, so it has prompted many programmers to produce their own Cat Cannon games to try to better it or to ride on its shirt tails. However, I have not seen any cat cannon games that are better than the originals.

Cat Cannon Games

All the cat cannon games involve firing a cat or a kitten out of a cannon. The aim or these arcade shooting games is to fire the cat as far as possible by altering the power of the charge in the cannon and the gun's angle of elevation. However, the result seems to depend mostly on luck.

These flash cat cannon games are meant to be gruesome, bloody and gory, which is why they are called Kitten Cannon, not cat cannon, and the kitten always dies. In fact, when the kitten flies through the air, it may hit various objects, before coming to rest on a spike and spilling its blood.

Kids love blood and guts though as long as it is in cartoons and films where it does not do any harm. My highest score on the original cat cannon games is 1542 feet, but you get to enter your score on the world leader board and I believe that the top score is about 4,500 feet. so I am way down the list.

It is easy to play these online, free games for hours and hours though without noticing the time whizzing past. Same as all good, fun arcade games, I guess. I played Kitten Cannon 3 on Sunday for three hours in the morning and couldn't believe it when I was called for dinner at noon.

This is a basic heads up if you have not played any of the Cat Cannon games before. Enter the words Kitten Cannon 3 into Google and several arcade game web sites will come up.

Click start and enter your screen name, they don't usually ask for your email address, so there is no spam coming. The kitten is loaded into the cannon and you adjust the elevation of the gun and increase the power of the charge (in some) and hit the space bar to shoot the gun.

The kitten squeals as it is blasted into the air. It can hit balloons or charges hanging from them. If it hits the balloon, its progress will slow, but if it hits the charge it will get a boost onwards. This can happen several times.

The kitten eventually falls to land, where it can hit a spike and die or get eaten by a Venus Fly Trap, if you are unlucky. If you are lucky, the cat hits an explosive charge or a trampoline and carries on its journey until its luck runs out and it is killed.
